Charles T. Doyle
Charles T. "Chuck" Doyle is Chairman of the Board of Texas First Banks, located in Galveston, Brazoria, Chambers, Harris and Jefferson Counties, Texas and Chairman of Texas Independent Bancshares, Inc. Doyle is also a member of the Board of Directors of Visa Inc., and a former member of the Board of Directors of Visa USA, Visa International, and Inovant. Doyle was Director of Certegy, Inc., an international payment systems company listed in the New York Stock Exchange from July of 2001 to December of 2005. He served as the first community banker on the Federal Advisory Council to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C., 1996 to 1998, representing the Eleventh District of the Federal Reserve System, served as Vice Chairman of the Committee in his final year of 1998, and served six years as a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas. Doyle joined the Board of Directors of CHRISTUS Health Gulf Coast in January of 2005.
He is past president and former Member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Community Bankers Association of America, Washington, D.C. Doyle has served on the Advisory Board of the Southwestern School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, and he is a former Board Member of the Texas Tech University School of Banking. He also was organizing director of Texas Independent Bank in Dallas, Texas. He was named Texas Banker of the Year in 1987 for his work in helping to organize and served six years as Chairman of ICBA Bancard, Inc., a national credit card network of over 2,000 community banks. He remains an Advisory Director to ICBA Bancard. Doyle has been a member of the American Academy of Management and the American Arbitration Association. He currently serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Directors for the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma.
Doyle holds a BBA in Management and Economics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He and his wife, Mary Ellen, reside in Texas City and are members of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he serves as Lector. They have five children and nineteen grandchildren.
Matthew T. Doyle
Matthew T. Doyle is Mayor of the City of Texas City and Vice Chairman of the Board of Texas First Bank, Texas First Mortgage, and Rust-Ewing Insurance Agency, and Chairman of the Board of Houston Business Bank. This is in addition to the multitude of other professional and community activities and involvements, including serving as Chairman of the Bay Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Doyle was named one of Ten Outstanding Young Americans for 1994, in recognition of his commitment to community service and his ability to overcome adversity to succeed professionally. He had previously been honored as one of the Five Outstanding Young Texans in 1993.
A 1980 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, his alma mater honored him with the Young Alumnus Outstanding Achievement Award in 1993.
Doyle has completed additional studies at the American Bankers Association Collection School, Houston; Oklahoma University/American Bankers Association Installment School; and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Matthew is also a Board Member of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and a former member of the Young Bankers Division, serving as President in 1990. He is a Board Member of the Independent Community Bankers of America; Executive Vice President and Board Member, United States Management Corporation, Hitchcock; Board Member, The Independent BankersBank, Dallas; and was appointed by the Governor to the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Doyle was elected to the City Commision of the City of Texas City in 2000 and 2002, where he served as Mayor Pro Tem. In 2004, he was elected Mayor of the City of Texas City and re-elected in 2006 and 2008. Doyle was elected and served two terms as a Member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Board of Directors from January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2007.
He resides in Texas City with his wife, the former Debbie Faulkner of Abilene, also a Texas Tech graduate. The couple has two children: Sean Thomas and Erin Elizabeth.
Christopher C. Doyle
Christopher C. "Chris" Doyle is President/CEO and a Member of the Board of Directors of Texas First Banks. He also serves as President and is a Member of the Board of Directors of Texas Independent Bancshares, Inc.
In May 1988, Doyle graduated with honors, Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Finance. He also received the Certified Financial Planner designation in April 1991.
Doyle is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), a Member of the Board of Directors of SWACHA, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) – three trade associations for the banking industry. Doyle serves on the Payments and Technology Committee for ICBA.
Christopher Doyle is a true leader and is committed to his community and civic activities personally and professionally. He is Chairman of the Salvation Army Board and a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. Doyle is also an Eagle Scout, a former member of the Texas City-LaMarque Jaycees where he served as Treasurer and President, and a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Texas City - LaMarque Chamber of Commerce.
Doyle received the IBAT Excellence in Leadership Award in 2005, in 2006 he was named One of Five Outstanding Young Texans by the Texas Jaycees, and in 2007 he received the Texas City-LaMarque Chamber of Cemmerce Citizen of the Year Award.
Doyle resides in Texas City with his wife, Stephanie K. Doyle, and their four sons, Corbin, Charles, Christopher, and Cullen.
